The site sits in Westminster's Core Central Activities Zone, neighbouring the Westminster Cathedral Conservation Area and a short walk from Victoria station. The existing buildings were demolished to ground floor and replaced with a new modular hotel arranged over ground and eleven upper floors, with basement plant space, cycle and bin storage and back-of-house areas.
citizenM set out to disrupt the traditional hotel by creating a luxury hybrid hotel for modern travellers. The project delivers 226 new bedrooms and targets BREEAM Outstanding for its sustainable design.
